starshine hospice
StarShine’s Hospice Program is for children and young adults whose life expectancy is six months or less. The Hospice Program is a support for families to make the child comfortable and help make the final moments of life memorable.

The program provides care and support to children to make the most of your their remaining time. Most StarShine visits are in home care, allowing the family to surround their child with love and comfort in their own homes.

StarShine offers a variety of care and support to the whole family through the whole process of losing a child; from comfort care to the child to bereavement care for the family.
​
StarShine support ranges from :
•Expert pediatric medical staff
•Occupational or physical therapy for comfort
•Assistive equipment such as lifts, beds, wheelchairs, feeding supplies, and breathing equipment.
•Psychological and spiritual support for your child and family includes art, music and holistic therapies.
•Resources and referrals to ease some of the burdens of daily living
•Bereavement care for family after child dies includes memorials and remembrance Camp Lionheart for grieving families.
